The Druk Wangyel Tshechu—also known as the Dochula Pass Festival—is a stunning annual event held on December 13 at the Druk Wangyel Lhakhang ground on Dochula Pass (≈3,100 m), located between Thimphu and Punakha in Bhutan. The festival began in 2011, commissioned by Her Majesty Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck to commemorate the Fourth King’s and Royal Bhutan Army’s victory over insurgents in 2003
